What is this Beyond the Mountain Event/Conference all about?

One of our supporters prefers to call this a conference, but we are just two ordinary guys who want to serve the Body of Messiah. We’ve been nameless and faceless in the community waiting for our Father to release us. You have not seen us on the speaking circuit. Yet, for several years we, the presenters, Solomon O. Lopez and Tzefania Pappas have heard the call and said, “Hineni” (Hebrew for here I am). Some of you may have already gotten to know Solomon through his music – hebraism.org, but he has been teaching on Biblical Feasts at Rock City Church in Corpus Christi, TX of late. Tzefania you may have heard about because he is the former Communications Director for B’ney Yosef North America. Recently, he has been speaking to a small group of faithful attendees about Israelite identity. So what are we saying “here I am” to? We desire to demonstrate that there are answers in this life to overcoming areas of sin such as, bitterness, anger, contention, envy, jealousy, and the list goes on. The answers or solutions to those obstacles are found in the Bible versus the world’s pursuit of humanism. If you’ve been pursuing a more Hebraic walk, you’ll soon learn that Jewish mysticism or Kabbalah (one of the chief mystical pursuits) does not have the answers either.  While we love our Jewish brothers and sisters, we do not believe that we have an “evil inclination” and that you were just made that way.  For Psalm 139 firmly declares (and this after the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden) that we are fearfully and wonderfully made! Yeshua (Jesus) has shed more light on this topic through servants like Paul the apostle. In the Book of Romans chapter 7, Paul speaks about sin as a being (for a being dwells). He refers to sin as dwelling in him, but not a part of him. In other words, sin is an invader. In fact, Paul states that it is not him doing it, but this invader called sin. The fruit of the Holy Spirit comes from the very presence of Yeshua (Jesus) living in us. In contrast, there is rotten fruit coming from unholy/unclean spirits. What if you knew that you could send bitterness, rage, murder, unforgiveness, etc. out of you because they are not a part of you? Yes, they will try to return, but tools are available to keep them out. It is great that we initially camped at Mount Sinai, for otherwise, we would have not understood that the Torah or law (we prefer God’s instructions in righteousness) was designed to show us that we’ve been invaded! It’s time to kick the invader out! Instead of continuing to camp at Mount Sinai, it’s time to take the journey. There is a move from the Father calling us to move Beyond the Mountain!
