I have been involved in the Hebrew Roots movement since 1997. One thing I have noticed is a failure to understand who we are fighting against. I have been guilty of this myself. We are not fighting against the government, a church, religious system, or any person or groups of people. Many will reply, “I know that!” But the body of work reflected in our behavior speaks volumes and reflects a far different story. Mental ascent to Scriptural truths is not equivalent to the fruit of the Spirit. We are not our own and we have no rights! The life of Yeshua flowing through us is reflected in an abiding love for other people even if they don’t agree with us! Perhaps, we need to confront another spirit. The spirit of religion produces rotten fruit and isolates us from others. Have we become a religion unto ourselves? Do we inspect our own fruit? Or are we busy inspecting the fruit of others? We will write and podcast about this further at Beyond the Mountain so stay tuned. We are in the middle of the 40 days of repentance leading to the Day of Atonement. Allow the Father to speak to your heart and make it right with Him today. Was Paul in Ephesians 1 praying in advance for us to receive an insight into this reality found in Ephesians 6?
….that the Elohim of our Master Yeshua the Messiah, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him; 18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the holy ones, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might…. Ephesians 1:17-19
